Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee apparently thinks the United States Constitution was ratified sometime in the 1600′s.

During a speech on the floor of the House of Representatives on Wednesday, the Texas Democrat referenced the beginning of the country and said: “We have lasted some 400 years, operating under a constitution that clearly defines what is constitutional and what is not.”

For the record, the Constitution is 226 years old. It was signed on September 17, 1787.

Obama, Biden to Meet Central Banker Aligned with Ukraine’s Fascists

Arseniy Yatsenyuk was handpicked by the U.S. State Department and the color revolution NGOs

Arseniy Yatsenyuk, the former central banker installed as the “pro-Western” interim prime minister of Ukraine, arrived in Washington on Wednesday. He will meet with President Obama and Vice President Biden and will also meet with members of Congress, the IMF, the World Bank and will address the UN Security Council.

Yatsenyuk is aligned with neofascist nationalists. One of Ukraine’s installed vice prime ministers, Oleksandr Sych, is a member of the Svoboda Party, formerly the Social National Party of Ukraine. It has roots going back to a collaboration between Germany’s Nazis and Ukrainian nationalists during the Second World War. Shortly after the coup in February, Svoboda Party members were appointed to the posts of vice prime minister, minister of education, minister of agrarian policy and food supplies, and minister of ecology and natural resources.

Oleh Tyahnybok is the leader of Svoboda. He was expelled from the Our Ukraine parliamentary faction after he insisted a “Moscow-Jewish mafia” runs Ukraine and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army “fought against the Moskali [an ethnic slur for Russians], Germans, Kikes and other scum who wanted to take away our Ukrainian state.”

Andriy Parubiy, the founder of the Social National Party of Ukraine, heads up the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council. The Deputy Secretary of National Security is Dmytro Yarosh, the leader of the Right Sector, the brownshirts of the Euromaidan coup. According to historian Timothy Stanley, Right Sector “flies the old flag of the Ukrainian Nazi collaborators at its rallies.”

Yarosh is not shy about his desire to foment a fascist revolution in Ukraine. Andriy Tarasenko, the chairman of Right Sector, said last week the street-fighting group comprised largely of neo-Nazi Dynamo Kiev soccer hooligans will strive to become a political party. “Dmytro Yarosh will run for president,” Tarasenko told Reuters. “We are preparing for a congress, at which the party will be renamed, and we will participate in the elections in Kyiv, the elections in all local councils, towns and villages.”

The establishment media has largely ignored or minimized the fascist taint of the coup government is Kyiv. Obama, Biden, and the United States Congress are tasked with advancing the agenda of the financial elite. Ukraine, strategically located on the Russian border, is the keystone to turning Eastern Europe over to the European Union and its cartel of international bankers. The cartel has installed fascists in the past, most notably Hitler who enjoyed the support of Wall Street and the transnational corporations of the day. In fact, the European Union itself is a Nazi and corporatist contrivance.

“According to a report in Kommersant-Ukraine, the finance ministry of Washington’s stooges in Kiev who are pretending to be a government has prepared an economic austerity plan that will cut Ukrainian pensions from $160 to $80 so that Western bankers who lent money to Ukraine can be repaid at the expense of Ukraine’s poor,” writes Paul Craig Roberts. “It is Greece all over again.”

The “austerity plan will cut social services, funds for education, layoff government workers, devalue the currency, thus raising the prices of imports which include Russian gas, thus electricity, and open Ukrainian assets to takeover by Western corporations… Ukraine’s agriculture lands will pass into the hands of American agribusiness.”

Arseniy Yatsenyuk is in Washington to advance this agenda. He was handpicked by the U.S. State Department and the color revolution NGOs precisely to be a key actor in the next scene of the bankster orchestrated transformation of Ukraine and its subsumption by the European Union and its banking elite overlords.

Obama’s popularity hits all time low ahead of midterm elections

Obama's popularity hits all time low ahead of midterm elections

As the November midterm elections inch closer, President Barack Obama is suffering his worst approval rating yet in a new nationwide poll.

According to a survey conducted by the Wall Street Journal and NBC News, the president’s approval rating has dipped from 43 percent in January to 41 percent in March, the lowest number recorded in the poll so far. Fifty-four percent disapproved of Obama’s performance.

Notably, these new numbers were powered primarily by discontent in the president’s own party, where he is experiencing a high of 20 percent disapproval. Obama’s approval rating is only four points higher than former President George W. Bush before the 2006 midterms, when Republicans ultimately lost control of the House and Senate.

The results have increased speculation that Democrats may lose their majority in the Senate, and have, at least temporarily, diminished the possibility of retaking the House of Representatives from Republicans. According to the poll, about 33 percent of respondents said their midterm vote would signal displeasure with Obama, while 24 percent said it would suggest approval. Another 41 percent said Obama would play no role in their decision.

According to Republican pollster Bill McInturff, who helped conduct the survey with Democratic pollster Fred Yang, the results suggest that Obama himself may become a drag on Democratic candidates in general.

“The president is being taken off the field as a Democratic positive,” McInturff told the Wall Street Journal. “These numbers would suggest that, beyond his behind-the-scenes fundraising, it’s hard to imagine the president on the road and hard to imagine where he would campaign.”

“The wind is in our face,” acknowledged Yang. “There is an advantage for Republicans right now.”

Still, the WSJ/NBC poll carried some bad news for Republicans as well, who remained more unpopular than Obama and Democrats in general with only a 27 percent favorability rating. According to NBC News, frustration with Congress and lawmakers in general remained high, with the majority of respondents saying they would not only vote to defeat their own incumbent representative, but also all the others currently holding office.

“What makes 2014 so different [from past cycles] is that the voters are in a rebellious state against the whole Congress and the establishment in Washington,” Yang said. “Both parties are in jeopardy.”

“Drunks,” “Bullies,” “Traitors,” “Fringe,” and Other Things Mitch McConnell Has Called Conservatives

“Drunks,” “Bullies,” “Traitors,” “Fringe,” and Other Things Mitch McConnell Has Called Conservatives

“Drunks,” “Bullies,” “Traitors,” “Fringe,” and Other Things Mitch McConnell Has Called Conservatives

Mitch McConnell is doing his best to walk back his comments about conservatives. He told the New York Times he intended to “crush them everywhere.” Now he says he was only talking about the Jim DeMint founded Senate Conservatives Fund and its candidates — candidates like Ben Sasse supported by Paul Ryan, Mike Lee, Club for Growth, RedState, National Review, and others.

Actually, Mitch McConnell has been pretty open in the past about his contempt for conservatives. He has referred to conservatives and the outside groups they fund, as traitors, bullies, drunks, and fringe. He claims conservatives “tear up every bar they walk into,” and he wants to “punch” the tea party “in the nose.”

Those are his words. And he has been pretty consistent over time. Back in 2009, McConnell’s associates famously put James Dobson in a terribly embarrassing spot when they lied about Rand Paul’s record. McConnell sent staff into Kentucky to defeat Rand Paul.

McConnell now says he only meant he wanted to crush the Senate Conservatives Fund, but back in 2009 and 2010, the Senate Conservatives Fund was the group standing with conservatives and Pat Toomey, Marco Rubio, Mike Lee, and Rand Paul against Mitch McConnell’s supported Arlen Specter, Charlie Crist, Bob Bennett, and Trey Grayson.

It is true that a number of McConnell’s remarks have focused on the Senate Conservatives Fund, but his remarks have also targeted groups like FreedomWorks, Club For Growth, and others. He is systematically targeting conservative organizations that do not follow the National Republican Senatorial Committee’s lead. What’s worse, he is enlisting a bunch of useful idiots on the right to do damage control for him and to protect him.

If you think Mitch McConnell needs protection and saving, consider that if McConnell had his way Trey Grayson would be in the Senate instead of Rand Paul; Charlie Crist would be in the Senate instead of Marco Rubio, David Dewhurst would be in the Senate instead of Ted Cruz; Arlen Specter would be in the Senate instead of Pat Toomey; and Bob Bennett would be in the Senate instead of Mike Lee.

When McConnell attacks FreedomWorks, Senate Conservatives Fund, Club for Growth, Madison Project, and even the tea party — he is attacking the conservatives who have saved the Republican Party from itself. He is attacking you. So you should defeat him.
