I wonder what color the attackers were?
A man walking on a path near the Shedd Aquarium was attacked by a group of people who beat him, robbed him and threw him into Lake Michigan early Wednesday, authorities said.
The man, 23, pulled himself out of the water and managed to contact police just after midnight. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
The attackers — several men and a woman — fled on foot from the 1200 block of South Lake Shore Drive with the man’s backpack and cellphone, police said.
Someone on the scene helped show police where to find the victim, according to police radio traffic. He was reported to be bleeding and bruised and talked with a 911 operator.
No arrests had been made.
