Also follows embarrassing House vote rejecting Trump impeachment

In light of the series of Russia fake news reports, the corporate media has decided to shelve that narrative in favor of renewing sex accusations against President Trump.
For example, three women – who, during the election, already publicly accused Trump of sexual misconduct – appeared on the Today show with Megyn Kelly on Monday to once again share their stories.
CNN ran the headline “Donald Trump’s #MeToo Moment Is Here,” covering Kelly’s interview.
Sensing the odd timing, the White House responded in a statement saying the “timing and absurdity of these false claims speaks volumes.”
“These false claims, totally disputed in most cases by eyewitness accounts, were addressed at length during last year’s campaign, and the American people voiced their judgment by delivering a decisive victory,” the White House said in a statement Monday.
“The timing and absurdity of these false claims speaks volumes, and the publicity tour that has begun only further confirms the political motives behind them.”
Following the embarrassing 364-58 House vote rejecting Trump’s impeachment, the Left is now pivoting to sexual assault accusations to derail Trump’s presidency.
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) kicked off the new narrative by calling for Trump to resign the day after the failed House vote.
And during his own sexual misconduct resignation speech, Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) added that he was aware of the “irony” of his resigning from Congress even though Trump still “sits in the Oval Office.”
Sens. Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Jeff Merkley also called for Trump’s resignation soon after.
“I just watched Senator Al Franken do the honourable thing and resign from his office,” Booker said over the weekend after a campaign rally for Democratic Alabama Senate candidate Doug Jones.
“My question is, why isn’t Donald Trump doing the same thing — who has more serious allegations against him, with more women who have come forward. The fact pattern on him is far more damning than the fact pattern on Al Franken.”
Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand echoed similar comments on CNN and demanded Congress to investigate allegations against Trump.
As we reported, Democrats are keen to use Franken and Conyers’ ousters as an attempt to gain the moral high ground and call for Trump’s resignation, especially given their recent failure to secure the House votes for Trump’s impeachment.
And the mainstream media is perfectly fine running with that after their epic fake reporting last week about supposed Trump-Russia collusion.
