Sen. Dick Durbin: I’m Working ‘Full Time’ for DACA Illegal Aliens

by JOHN BINDER 16 Jan 2018Washington, D.C.

Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) says his sole focus in Congress is making sure illegal aliens are given amnesty to remain permanently in the United States.

In comments on Monday, Durbin said it is illegal aliens, not his Illinois constituents, who he is working “full time” and around the clock for.

Durbin said:

Listen, politics ain’t beanbag. When you get into tough, complicated, contentious issues, sometimes rhetoric gets very fiery. If you don’t have a tough skin, this is not a good business to get into. I know what happened. I stand behind every word that I said in terms of that meeting. I’m focused on one thing — not that meeting — but on making sure that those who are being protected by DACA and eligible for the DREAM Act have a future in America. I am focused on that full time. [Emphasis added]

In the statement, Durbin was referring to a meeting at the White House where President Trump allegedly asked lawmakers why the U.S. was admitting thousands of foreign nationals every year from “shithole countries,” though Trump and others at the meeting have denied the allegations.

Durbin, Democrats and the Republican establishment have scrambled together to negotiate with the White House on a deal where potentially millions of illegal aliens shielded from deportation by the President Obama-created Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program are given amnesty.

Under Durbin’s DREAM Act, working and middle-class Americans would be put in further competition for U.S. jobs against up to 3.5 million newly legalized foreign nationals. A recent report found that 1 in 5 illegal aliens given amnesty under the DREAM Act would end up on food stamps and nearly 1 in 7 would end up on Medicaid, further straining the social safety net for America’s poor.

Cory Booker goes on unhinged rant

 | Infowars.com – JANUARY 16, 2018

Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) had an angry meltdown at a hearing with Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristjen Nielsen earlier today, claiming he was in “tears of rage” over Trump’s ‘sh*thole comment.

Booker attempted to give Nielsen a dressing down over her claim that she did not remember what Trump said in the infamous meeting, but he ended up just looking unhinged.

After ranting that white supremacists were a bigger threat to Americans than Islamic terrorists, despite the DHS’ own stats showing that three out of every four terrorism culprits in the U.S. since 9/11 were foreign born, Booker went full retard.

“I’ve been in the Oval Office many times. And when the commander in chief speaks I listen. I don’t have amnesia on conversations I had in the Oval Office going back months and months and months,” he ranted, adding, “Your silence and your amnesia is complicity.”

Booker went on to claim that he suffered from “tears of rage” when he heard reports that Trump had referred to nations such as Haiti as “shithole countries,” before tearing into Nielsen for, “not [feeling] that hurt and that pain and to dismiss the question of my colleagues.”

Booker’s feigned righteous indignation was typical of leftists who pretend to be outraged over racism as a crass way of exerting political power.

“This is insipid. It’s Jon Lovitz ACTING! No, Booker didn’t have “tears of rage.” He had a presidential candidacy to launch. And if Democrats are fools enough to fall for this sort of theatrical nonsense, let them try it. Americans can still see through performances that rival Tommy Wiseau in quality,” commented Ben Shapiro.

Booker’s outburst was just another underhanded effort to get Republicans to cave on DACA in order to ‘prove’ that they’re not racist.

He’s by no means the first hysterical anti-Trump figure to pull the same stunt of trying to guilt trip the opposition into adopting Democratic immigration policies.

NeverTrumper Ana Navarro demanded Trump “contradict the widely-held perception that he is a dark-hearted racist,” by passing DACA.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer struck a similar tone, tellingTrump to prove he’s not a racist bigot by giving “the DREAMers safety here in America.”

Mitt Romney Uses Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day to Attack Donald Trump

by JOEL B. POLLAK 15 Jan 2018

Former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney took to Twitter on Monday morning to attack President Donald Trump, using the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday to suggest that Trump is a racist.

Romney wrote: “The poverty of an aspiring immigrant’s nation of origin is as irrelevant as their race. The sentiment attributed to POTUS is inconsistent w/ America’s history and antithetical to American values. May our memory of Dr. King buoy our hope for unity, greatness, & ‘charity for all.’”

The former Massachusetts governor was referring to allegations that President Trump had referred to “shithole countries” in a negotiation over immigration policy in the Oval Office last Thursday with a small group of Senators that included Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL).

Trump has denied using that term, and Sens. Tom Cotton (R-AR) and Frank Purdue (R-GA) have denied hearing it, as has Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, who was also present.

The White House said that President Trump was arguing for a merit-based system of immigration policy, as opposed to the existing policies of “chain migration” and the “diversity visa” lottery.

The president was also reportedly defending his administration’s decision to send some El Salvadorans and Haitians, who are in the U.S. due to earthquake disasters, back to their countries of origin after their temporary protected status expires.

Democrats have also used the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday to attack Trump, based on the recent controversy and on past claims that he is a racist.

Speculation has mounted whether Romney would be a friend or foe of President Trump if elected to the Senate.

Romney has a rocky relationship with President Trump. In March 2016, he viciously attacked Trump in a speech in Salt Lake City, Utah — but stopped short of endorsing a rival candidate in the Republican primary. He mended fences with Trump when he aspired to become Secretary of State in the new administration, but has since re-emerged as one of the president’s leading GOP critics, appealing to the remnant of the “NeverTrump” movement.

Last summer, Romney criticized President Trump’s response to violence in Charlottesville, accusing him of moral equivalence between neo-Nazis and those opposing “racism and bigotry” — but without noting that the latter had disrupted a lawful, permitted protest.

Democrats accused Romney himself of racism when he ran for president in 2012, particularly when he accused Barack Obama supporters of voting for “free stuff,” and when he joked that “no one’s ever asked to see my birth certificate.”

And when Obama called Mitt Romney a bullshitter, Rolling Stone backed the statement. Saying the halls of the White House have heard no shortage of profanity over the decades. *(LET’S HOPE THEY NEVER COME BACK) – CNN’S APRIL RYAN: ‘BROWN PEOPLE’ SHOULD CALL AIRLINES, BOOK FLIGHTS TO ‘S–THOLE’ COUNTRIES

Search for something to ‘change dynamic’ comes just hours after Ryan asked Trump if he was ‘a racist’

The Washington Free Beacon – JANUARY 13, 2018

CNN political analyst and White House reporter April Ryan outlined a unique way for people to oppose President Donald Trump’s reported comments that some foreign nations are “s—hole countries.”

On “The Situation Room” Friday, Ryan cited an unnamed “influencer” and “child and product of the sixties” who advocated that anti-Trump activists call various companies and talk about Trump’s comments. She said asking if Trump is racist is not enough, that people need to do something that will have an “economic impact.”

“It’s one thing to ask if he’s a racist and that’s OK, but the next thing is, since this continues to happen there needs to be something to dynamic, some kind of leverage,” Ryan said.

“It’s one thing to ask if he’s a racist and that’s OK, but the next thing is, since this continues to happen there needs to be something to dynamic, some kind of leverage,” Ryan said. “And this influencer said what needs to happen, and it’s kind of—she made me laugh with it, but it’s real. She said what people need to do—black and brown people need to do—is pick up the phone and start calling the airlines and saying, ‘Book me a ticket to S-hole.’”

“And if they say we don’t have that, say, ‘Well, look again,’” she added. “Then the influencer said you also need to call the telephone company, tie up the lines and call the telephone company talking about ‘I need to have my international phone plan include S-hole.’”

Ryan went on to explain that people opposing Trump are talking about new ways to counter Trump’s political moves.

“There is talk now about what to do to change the dynamic of this because the president is talking about his base, but there is a large portion of America who does not accept this kind of thing and they’re now thinking about what can be done because we now have to go off of Twitter and move into action to change this dynamic,” Ryan concluded.

Ryan’s search for something to “change the dynamic” comes just hours after Trump ignored her questions at the White House on Friday.

At Trump’s signing ceremony for his Martin Luther King, Jr. Day proclamation, Ryan shouted, “Mr. President, are you a racist?”
